Born in central Colorado, Kim grew up with a unique blend of urban life during the school year and ranch life during the summer.
Upon high school graduation, he attended the University of Northern Colorado and studied business economics, finance and marketing. In 1983, he received a B.S. in Business Administration, then became the new Wyoming disctrict manager for a large distribution comapny.
As the district manager, he was responsible for servicing & training 200+ businesses, in a variety of residential and commercial construction product lines throughout Wyoming. During his weekly travels, he developed a passionate curiosity for Wyoming's mountain wilderness and endless variety of streams and rivers.
Over the next 30 years, his new business venture allowed him a lucrative income while introducing those least familiar with Wyoming to its most bountiful outdoor resources. During this same period of time, he married and became a proud father of four (one son and three daughters).
He originally became acquainted with the real estate business as an investor and soon developed into a property manager of twenty seven residential units. In 1997, he obtained his real estate liscense. During the next two years, he would conclude his substitute teaching, scale back his outfitting business and sell the majority of his rental properties. On December 1st, 1999, he began a full-time carreer in real estate sales.
In 2005 he became a broker, founded Plains Real Estate and five years later joined the United Country Real Estate franchise. This coming August will celebrate our thirteenth anniversary at the same west side location of 1915 Jim Bridger Casper, Wyoming.
